A typical US satellite and streaming radio lineup spans hundreds of channels. Here are the categories drivers reach for most.
Commercial-free music
Pop, rock, country, hip-hop, Latin, jazz, classical and decades channels programmed by real music directors — no ad breaks between songs.
Live play-by-play
NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA and motorsports coverage plus daily sports talk, driver radio, and expert analysis on the drive home.
News & talk
National and business news, politics from multiple viewpoints, health, faith and lifestyle shows updated around the clock.
Comedy channels
Stand-up sets, uncensored and clean comedy stations, and celebrity-hosted shows for long highway stretches.
Family & kids
Family-safe stations with music, stories and radio Disney-style programming for road trips with children.
Traffic & weather
Coast-to-coast traffic and weather reports for major US metros so you can reroute before you hit the jam.
Three ways to listen
In the car
Factory-installed satellite radios in most new US vehicles, plus dash-mounted and portable tuners for older cars. Coverage follows you across the lower 48 — no station hunting between cities.
On the app
Stream on iPhone, Android, tablets and the web with on-demand shows, pause and rewind, and downloads for areas with weak signal.
At home
Listen through smart speakers, streaming players, and connected TVs using the same subscription you use in the car.
Common questions
How does a car radio trial work?
Most new and certified pre-owned US vehicles include a promotional trial. When the trial ends, service stops unless you choose a paid plan. Trial length and channel lineup vary by vehicle and provider.
What is the difference between satellite and streaming?
Satellite radio is broadcast to a tuner in your vehicle and does not use mobile data. Streaming uses your internet or cellular connection and adds on-demand episodes and a larger channel catalog.
Can I pause or cancel?
Subscription terms are set by your radio provider. Review your provider's account page or billing statement for renewal dates, promotional rates, and cancellation steps before you are billed again.
Why do channels disappear?
Channel lineups change with licensing agreements, and some packages exclude premium sports or talk channels. A refresh signal sent to the radio usually restores channels after a plan change.
